COACHING COURSES

There are two courses available for coaches for younger teams.
The Grassroots Coaching Course (Coaches of players U6-U10) and also a Junior Licence Course (Coaches of players U10-U16). The cost of these courses are subsidised by the club and are free for our Coaches. These courses will help you improve your coaching & pick up some new ideas and valuable resources.

The Grassroots Course will be held on Sunday 21 March 2010 at Orchid Street from 2pm to 5pm.

The Junior Licence will be held at Bates Drive on March 13 and 14 from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

You should wear gear to allow you to participate (boots and shin pads if you have them) to either course.
Both courses will give you specific information on how to run sessions, how to change sessions when they are not working, what to focus on and how to deliver it.

HAMMERS JUNIOR FOOTBALL ACADEMY

We are proud to introduce “Hammers Junior Football Academy” for the 2010 season. This is an opportunity for Marton players, ages from 8 to 13, regardless of current ability, to receive additional training from qualified coaches and further develop their skills.

• Registration until 26th February
• 14 consecutive sessions (except 2nd and 9th April School Holidays)
• Commence March 12th - Completion June 25th
• Friday nights from 5:15 pm to 6:45 pm
• Cost for Academy $25
• Players to all receive H.J.F.A training shirt
• Training based around FFA national coaching curriculum
• Focus on technical aspects leading into game based situations
